Replica of a Chip: The Weaving Technology of Marilou Schultz is on view at the Hessel Museum of Art at Bard College through November 29, 2026. The exhibition marks the first survey of Navajo/Diné weaver and mathematics educator Marilou Schultz, positioning her as an innovator whose work across culture and industry has influenced the practices of art, Navajo weaving, and computer architecture over a 65-year career. Alongside Schultz's own weavings—including her celebrated chip-inspired works—the exhibition features works by members of her family, including her niece Melissa Cody, situating the practice within a tradition of intergenerational mentorship. The exhibition is curated by Candice Hopkins, Executive Director and Chief Curator of Forge Project.
