The Collection

Raven Halfmoon is an artist and sculptor from Norman, Oklahoma. She is a citizen of the Caddo Nation and also has Choctaw, Delaware, and Otoe Missouria heritage. Halfmoon holds a double bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas, where she majored in ceramics/painting and cultural anthropology.

Halfmoon's sculptures are held in the permanent collections of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, and the Montclair Art Museum. Her solo exhibition Flags of Our Mothers was featured at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in 2023 before traveling to the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art. In 2023, she was selected as an Eiteljorg Contemporary Art Fellow, and in 2024, she was a finalist for the international Loewe Craft Prize. Her additional honors include the Virginia A. Groot Foundation Sculpture Grant, the Burke Prize (finalist, Museum of Arts and Design), the Ceramics Monthly Emerging Artist award, the American Craft Council Emerging Voices Award, and a Tinworks Artist Grant.

Halfmoon is represented by Kouri+Corrao Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, and Ross+Kramer Gallery in New York, NY, and by Salon 94 in New York, NY. She lives and works in Norman, Oklahoma.
